Guess what's in my hand?

It's Memorial Day in the United States. Since many of you are probably out barbecuing or camping (or if you live in Central Oregon, shielding your tomato plants from snow) I'm guessing blog readership will be slow today.

In the interest of being lazy commemorating this important holiday, I'm giving us all the day off.

I do have one thing to share, however. Guess what I got to hold for the very first time on Friday when a package showed up on my doorstep?
I might just hold it all day and call it my own personal Memorial Day celebration. I'll even caress it from time to time and maybe kiss the pages when I think no one's looking.

    Congrats, Tawna! It's an awesome feeling to hold your book in your hands for the first time :D

    No holiday here. In fact, June is one of two months with no holidays here. In fact after Golden Week (which finished on May 5) there aren't any til the 3rd Monday in July.

    Nonetheless, I'm holding an umbrella, cuz it's 10 degrees C and pouring.

    This weekend I'm holding a notebook where I'm trying to sort out a few big questions that I need answered before I can restart writing my novel. Ugh... Maybe *I* need to spill some Chianti all over it :)

    Lol :P Today's not a holiday in Canada. Last Monday was Victoria's Day, though. Didn't do much, which was nice.
